Two Saratoga Springs Businesses Collaborate with Local Charity to Support Mounted Police
Impressions of Saratoga and Dark Horse Mercantile Launch New Branded Apparel Collection to Benefit Saratoga Springs Police Department Mounted Patrol
Saratoga Springs, NY (March 19, 2025) – Impressions of Saratoga and Dark Horse Mercantile have announced a new initiative benefiting the Saratoga Springs Police Department (SSPD) Mounted Patrol. This project has been developed in collaboration with Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga (THS) were the SSPD horses live when they are “off-duty”. The new line of apparel includes a short sleeve, long sleeve, and sweatshirt available for purchase online and in-store as of March 1st. Twenty-five percent of all sales will be donated to THS and designated toward the care of the SSPD horses, Apollo and Brady.
The horses of the SSPD Mounted Patrol are housed and cared for at the Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga farm, where they receive expert attention and support. This partnership underscores the dedication of both organizations to equine welfare and community service. Thanks to T-Shirt Graphics, who generously provided discounted printing fees, even more funds will go directly toward supporting these magnificent service animals.

The design on each shirt celebrates the historic Saratoga racetrack and proudly features the logos of the SSPD Mounted Patrol and Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga.

Inspired by their connection, we’ve wanted to create a product that supports these magnificent animals and establishes a revenue stream to ensure their care and well-being. This partnership will help honor the historic importance of our equine partners in Saratoga Springs for years to come!”
