Michelle was raised on a farm in central Wisconsin, where her lifelong connection with animals—and especially horses—began at a young age. From trail riding and 4-H competitions to working on neighboring farms, horses have always been at the center of her life. Her path has been as adventurous as it is diverse, including becoming a certified flight instructor at the Central Wisconsin Airport, earning degrees in business and biology, and working in fields ranging from information systems to zoo education and veterinary care.
Throughout her career, she has remained deeply committed to equine care and therapeutic riding. She is a PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and has worked with organizations such as River Valley Riders and the Minnesota Zoo, as well as serving with the Washington County Sheriff’s Department Mounted Patrol and the Scott County Sheriff’s Department Mounted Posse. After relocating to Saratoga Springs to be closer to family, she continued her work as a certified therapeutic riding instructor with Saratoga Therapeutic Equestrian Program and A Dapple a Day Equine Center before finding her way to Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga.
She began at THS as a Fast Pass volunteer and quickly became a valued member of the team, serving as a Horse and Farm Volunteer Engagement Ambassador before stepping into her current role as Equine Care Specialist. Her journey has always been guided by a love of horses and a passion for helping others, and she is grateful to be part of the THS family as she begins this next chapter.
