Having lived downstate in her early years after obtaining degrees in Fine and Visual Arts, Lenore worked as a production potter and studio assistant for artists. She eventually moved back to the Schenectady/Saratoga County area, where she was self-employed in the salon industry for 15 years as a nail technician and makeup artist. After marrying her best friend of 35 years and welcoming a son, she opted to be a Stay-at-Home-Mom for the first few years of Greyson’s young life. During that time, she discovered Equine Assisted Therapy. Coming from a family background of Law Enforcement and Military, she strongly believes in the EAP model. Hoping to find a special place where she could just “be”; sharing space with horses, she was thrilled to have discovered THS, where she quickly became a weekly volunteer. As a life-long lover of all animals and their welfare, racehorse aftercare was always important to her. She is incredibly proud to be a part of the THS Team, and to help care for these wonderful horses that are key in the mental health/healing process. She also offers Reiki treatments for the horses. In her spare time, you’ll find her at home with her husband Steve, and son watching them watch basketball (ha-ha), making art, enjoying down-time at the lake and snuggling with their 3 cats and lab, Griffin!
