Having lived downstate in her early years after obtaining her degrees in Fine and Visual Arts, Lenore worked as a production potter and a studio assistant for other artists. She eventually moved back to the Schenectady/Saratoga County area, where she was self-employed in the salon industry for 15 years as a nail technician and makeup artist. After marrying her best friend of 35 years and welcoming a son, she opted to become a Stay-at-Home-Mom for the first few years of Greyson’s young life. During that time, she discovered Equine Assisted Therapy to help overcome some personal life challenges. Coming from a family background of Law Enforcement and Military, she strongly believes in the EAP model. This is where her profound healing of the horse/human connection began.  With only a handful of riding lessons in her pocket, she knew she wanted to find a special place where she could just “be”—sharing space with horses, but also learning everything there is to know about horse care, groundwork, manners, and safety. Thrilled to have discovered THS, she worked quickly to become a weekly volunteer. As a life-long lover of all animals and their welfare, racehorse aftercare was always a nagging concern for her. She is incredibly proud and lucky to be a part of the THS Team, and to help care for these wonderful animals who give so much of themselves to us humans!! In addition to caring for the horses, she offers Reiki healing treatments for any and all of the horses on the farm. In her spare time, you’ll find her at home with her husband and son watching them watch basketball (haha), making art, enjoying some down-time at the lake and snuggling with their 3 cats!
