David L. Swank is a seasoned software executive and entrepreneur with over twenty years of experience in management, sales, marketing, accounting, finance, information technology, and consulting. In 1993, he founded Pacific Triangle Software, Inc., where he served as President and CEO until its sale in 2010. Under his leadership, the company experienced significant growth through the acquisition and restructuring of software operations and the development of innovative solutions for institutional and school food service operations. Since 2010, Swank has also consulted for various organizations in accounting and IT.
Before founding Pacific Triangle, Swank held several key positions at J.D. Edwards & Company, a prominent ERP software vendor now part of Oracle Corporation. As the Managing Director of J.D. Edwards – Asia/Pacific, he successfully established a subsidiary that made substantial contributions to the company’s revenues. His earlier roles included Corporate Director of Marketing, where he secured impactful agreements with major firms like IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers, and CFO of Luff Exploration Company, where he revamped their accounting and information systems. Swank began his career at Grant Thornton LLP as a staff accountant and consultant.
David is enthusiastic about joining Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, motivated by the opportunity to support a young, growing organization within his areas of expertise. He values the chance to engage with the horse industry and to build personal relationships with individuals who share similar interests. His extensive experience is expected to be invaluable as THS continues to expand its reach and programs.
